WELCOME TO THE 3 C'S OHIO CLUB

BY-LAWS - 3 C’S OHIO CLUB

1.  This club in The Villages, State of Florida, shall be known as the   “3 C’s Ohio Club.”

2.  Any resident living in The Villages is eligible to become a member, along with his or her spouse if they have been a resident at any time in the State of Ohio.

3.Regular meetings will be held the second (2nd) Saturday of every month; social time at 8:30 a.m., meeting at 9:00 a.m at a Village Recreation Center based on availability.

4.  The Club shall be guided by the President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer, who are elected by the membership present at the November meeting of each year.  These officers make up the “Executive Board. Each officer must be a resident of The Villages and  be a member in good standing for at least one (1) year.

5.  The tenure for each officer shall be for one year, beginning with the January meeting and ending with the December meeting of the same year.  The number of years of office held in unlimited. Officers can run for reelection.

6.Candidates for the offices shall be  members or volunteers selected by a nominating committee appointed by the President and shall be presented to the membership for their consideration at the October meeting.  Nominations shall also be accepted from the floor during the October meeting and again at the November meeting.  All nominees much give their consent for the nomination. The slate of officers will be voted on at the November meeting.

7.  Membership dues of the 3 C’s Ohio Club shall be $5.00 per person, per year, payable to the 3 C’s Ohio Club. Dues are not prorated.

8.  The Chairperson of each committee shall be appointed by the new President ready to assume duties in January.  Appointment of the following committees is recommended:

Welcoming - Nominating - Auditing - Historian - 50/50 Raffle - Shirt & Name Tags - and any other committees that the Executive Board recommends to be necessary.  

Each Club officer and committee chairperson will be given a list of powers, duties and verbal assistance to help them assume their responsibilities.

9.  The Treasurer’s books shall be audited at the end of each year - or early January, or at the President’s request if it is felt an audit is necessary prior to the year’s end.

10.  All expenditures must have the Executive Board’s approval.

11.  Any activity, or invitation to participate in an activity, either within the Club or with an outside agency, brought before the 3 C’s Ohio Club by a member, an organization, a club or representative of an outside agency, must first be submitted to the Executive Board of the 3 C’s Ohio Club for review before acceptance or rejection by the membership.

12. Memorial contributions and charity contributions will be presented and discussed by the Executive Board and then presented to all general membership for approval.
